My hobbies and interests are varied, but the most important to me are spending time with my family, music, film/cinema, cooking and 70’s & 80’s TV Shows.
My favourite music acts are The Beatles, Gene Pitney, Fleet Foxes, Tom McRae , Damien Rice and my favourite TV shows are Millennium, Fringe, Criminal Minds, The Prisoner and Blake’s 7.
I have enjoyed listening to music from a very early age when I used to listen to my parents record collection. At the age of 10 I acquired my parent’s music centre and began collecting records and cassettes, particularly from the 1960’s.
After leaving school I worked at the accounts department with the Leicestershire County Council but after 2 years realised that I wanted to do something that I was more interested in. I then managed to secure a position at Ainleys Music & Video, a local independent record store in Leicester, where I worked for the next 15 years.
When the owners of Ainleys decided to retire and sell up, I moved to HMV on the High Street in Leicester for a while, but I preferred the independent feel of a business. I have always had an interest in Hi-fi, being a long standing customer of Cymbiosis, and I had started working with Peter and Philip on my day off from HMV, so when an opportunity to join them came along, I took it and have been here ever since!
