The brief here was for a full high definition theatre system that also had to excel with music replay.
The installation was to be carried out as part of the client's overall property renovation.

THE INSTALLATION

The client was very specific with regard to the quality of the system and so a full high definition, 7.2 surround sound system, meeting the THX Ultra 2 specifications, was installed.

In order to meet the requirement for high quality music reproduction, bi-amplified KEF Reference loudspeakers were used for the front stereo pair. This meant that all the other speakers were also chosen from the KEF Reference range, as the client had specified that all the finishes must match. Fortunately this had the added benefit that the theatre system sound was also matched and of the highest quality. As a final touch, twin subwoofers were added to give the cinema experience a real depth.

The fact that the property was being renovated gave us the opportunity to hide all the cabling for the system. To continue the quality of the system, Chord Company Rumour speaker cable was embedded in the walls and full HDMI cabling was used for the theatre equipment connections.

The equipment was also hidden from view in a bespoke cabinet sourced from one of our partner companies - George Montagu's Ltd (tel: 0116 253 9004). To enhance this, we demonstrated an automated remote control system to the client , which would allow him to control any piece of equipment, even with the cabinet door closed, a solution he was delighted with.

The client expressed his satisfaction that not only had his brief been met, but it had actually been exceeded.
