Rega Turntables
As with other similar products, this came out of one man's belief that he could produce a better sounding turntable than those available at the time. That man was Roy Gandy, founder of Rega Research Ltd. In 1975 the Planar 2 was developed and quickly took its place in the market as the finest budget turntable. In June 1977 HI-FI News and Record Review announced the Planar 3 saying 'The complete unit is worth a look'! Rega's usual blaze of non-publicity. Since then Rega have gone on to produce a whole range of superb hi-fi products but are possibly still best known for their range of turntables. Cymbiosis has always been proud to represent the Rega range of products and their turntables in particular. Many of our customers purchased their Rega turntable as part of their first "proper" hi-fi system and that trend continues to this day. Rega continue to develop their turntables and have recently introduced a new range which includes a new feature, their Double Brace technology. to quote Rega... “Mass absorbs energy - lost energy equals lost music”! Rega has pioneered the use of lightweight rigid plinths. Clever use of lightweight particulate core with a highly rigid phenolic resin skin became the foundations of the high level of performance You are welcome to come and experience the Rega turntables here at Cymbiosis and also their accompanying phono stages, amplifiers and loudspeakers. You can be assured of a superb performing, value for money product. We always carry a selection of Rega spares and upgrades in stock. Please contact us for more details.
