Linn Plinths

Linn, Just Listen... Linn, based in Glasgow, Scotland, was founded in 1973 by Ivor Tiefenbrun. They are world leaders in digital streaming products as well as speakers, amplification and, of course, turntables, with the iconic LP12.

The Linn Sondek LP12 turntable is probably the longest lived and most iconic Hi-fi product ever made.

Linn Sondek LP12 Fluted PlinthIt’s the product that changed people’s perceptions of what actually produces good music! Production started back in 1973 and most are still being played to this day.

So, if you own an older Linn Sondek LP12 which is showing signs of its age and has a plinth that may be looking a little tired, why not consider updating its looks and sound quality by having a new Linn plinth fitted?

These are the very same plinths that are fitted to brand new decks at the factory and they are available in a choice of high quality, solid, real wood finishes: Black Ash, American Cherry, Oak, Rosenut, Walnut

Linn Sondek LP12 PlinthThey represent a surprisingly economical way of updating your Linn Sondek LP12 at a cost of about £725.00 plus fitting. And what many don’t know is that, in addition to the standard five finishes listed above, Linn also offer a custom service for those who want a truly bespoke finish.

The cost of these bespoke plinths will of course vary and is dependent on the materials required, but as a rough guide they start at about three times the cost of a standard plinth. Alternatively, we can supply super quality standard and bespoke LP12 plinths from Simon Price – more details are available on the Simplinth here.
