Linn celebrates 40th Birthday!

Posted by September 24th, 2013

This year, Linn products based in Glasgow, Scotland celebrate their 40th anniversary, and with this comes a special edition of one of the most iconic turntables ever created…the Linn LP12.

To celebrate their 40th birthday, Linn have teamed up with Scottish whiskey manufacturer Highland Park to create 40 special edition Highland Park LP12’s created using 40 year old whiskey casks. These special LP12’s are hand-crafted using Highland Parks very own Spanish oak whiskey casks and retailed for £25,000 each and of course you get a bottle of 40 year old whiskey to enjoy with it! If however you are looking to purchase one of your own you are out of luck, all 40 were sold on the day!

As part of Linn’s birthday celebrations, Linn organised the grand unveiling of their brand new flagship EXAKT technology, more of which can be found here as well as a brand new Kore sub-chassis for the LP12. We would like to thank Linn for hosting such a brilliant event and look forward to experimenting with some of the new products coming out of Glasgow in the next few months, watch this space!
